Comments: I spent many summers in Maringouin with my grandmother Murrell (Big Momma), and was fortunate to have met a lot of our family members. Uncle Grant spent a good bit of time with me and made it a point of bringing me around to meet everyone he said "It's important to know your family" he was right and so it continues with each of you.

What are you most looking forward to at the Reunion? To finally put the names with the faces, so often we played together, saw each other, and knew we were related but the names have faded even though the faces remain fresh in my memory!

Comments: I am excited and happy that I am going to be able to see all of you. Some of you were not even born when I left Maringouin. I left Maringouin fifty-seven years ago, and Hurricane Katrina ran me back. After losing everything in the storm, I built my dream home here and now I can't decide if I am going to stay or go back to the Big Easy.
Share your favorite family story or memory: My daddy Dave Woolfolk , wanted what he called a "BIG BLOWOUT PARTY" for his birthday. It was his one and only party in his life, and all of the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family and friends were there to celebrate that party with my Daddy and Mama. We have memories from that family gathering that we will never forget.

However, when we got there we were told that we didnt have reservations. I got into a big arguement with the people and we got put out the hotel. 30 of us had to stay in my brothers apartment.

Share your favorite family story or memory: Ever since I was a little boy I always loved hunting. One particular day I went hunting and I killed a lot of rabbits and coons. I had them on the tailgate of Big Red's (aka Uncle Henry) truck and Uncle John drove up and said,"if I had some land I wouldn't let you damn Baise' s hunt cuz ya'll kill up all da damn game..." Everytime I go hunting I remember Uncle John's words. He was halarious.
